I was successful in obtaining my internship with Extrados Solutions, and I began working with them today. I will to be working two full (8 hour) days each week, until my internship is completed.
After a quick introduction around the office, I was able to get started right away. Garry had me begin by reviewing and analysing a few of their various websites. The Extrados office in Murarrie is a lot smaller then I anticipated, but I am sure I can learn to thrive by working with a smaller group of people.
I also got to meet two of the three interns from Griffith University who are also working on similar projects for Extrados. They seem quite friendly, even being from a rival university.
As this is my first time have my internship take place in a formal, full-time, workplace environment, I was grateful for the company they provided. They were essentially in the same boat as me, and they understood and could relate with me about the experience of working for Extrados, as a new intern.
